The FACTdb is under construction and subject to change. It is hosted through the IT services department of Eawag (Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology) and maintained by the department of Environmental Toxicology (UTOX) of Eawag.

Neither Eawag nor the data contributors accept any responsibility or liability whatsoever (including, but not limited to, any direct or consequential loss or damage) arising from, or in connection with, the access to and use of the database, or the quality, accuracy and/or the completeness of the data contained in the FACT database.

The database is made available under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Therefore, users are free to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, as long as attribution is given to the creator. The license allows for commercial use. Users must provide an appropriate acknowledgment in accordance with applicable scientific standards when using or citing such data in publications, presentations, or other forms of dissemination.

The development of the database was funded by PETA Science Consortium International e.V. (https://www.thepsci.eu).
